Can I request books through Interlibrary Loan (ILL) ?

Online Interlibrary Loan is available for PDFs of articles and book chapters not in the library’s online resources. More information is available in our ILL guide.

Many libraries are not lending out physical materials because of COVID-19 protocols, so requests may take longer than usual to be fulfilled, or we may be unable to borrow the materials you need.

For the Fall 2020 semester, all physical ILL materials issued to students must be returned by Monday November 16. To help ensure that materials are returned on time, we will stop accepting ILL requests from students for books and other physical items on Monday November 2. Please plan accordingly!

Faculty and staff who are able to pick up materials in person may request physical items after November 2 using the Faculty/Staff ILL Request Form..

As an alternative to ILL for physical materials, we will try to secure electronic access or purchase materials for our collection when possible. If an item is not held by our library, you can email library@norwich.edu to suggest the library obtain a copy for the collection.
